Smart Exploration/Smart Mining

  • North-West Queensland Minerals and Energy Province Report and Data Package
    The North-West Queensland Mineral and Energy Province Report and Data Package is the culmination of five years field and office-based study of the North-West Queensland Mineral and Energy Province (NWQMEP) by the Geological Survey of Queensland. The work was funded by the Queensland Government's Smart Exploration and Smart Mining Initiatives.

Greenfields 2020

  • Greenfields 2020 Program
  • Five new geophysical surveys for central and southern Queensland
    The Geological Survey of Queensland and Geoscience Australia will be starting five new geophysical surveys in central and southern Queensland in the coming months. Three airborne geophysical surveys and two helicopter transported ground gravity surveys will be undertaken in the area adjacent to the New South Wales border near Cunnamulla (Thomson East and West Surveys) and around Longreach in central Queensland (Galilee Survey)

    QDEX download facilities

    • There are now two ways to access the QDEX system - as a Registered User and as a Guest User.
    • In addition the download and upload limit of files has been changed to 50 MB.
    • Interactive lists of some of your favourite publications are now available, making them easier to find and download.
    • These include Geological and Mineral Occurrence maps, Geological Records, and the Queensland Government Mining Journal, the GSQ Publication series, and Geological Survey Reports.

    New phone number for QDEX support

    The QDEX team have changed their qdex support phone number to +61 7 3035 5256.
