Company exploration reports - QDEX
The Geological Survey of Queensland manages the company exploration reports collection using an internet document management system called QDEX (Queensland Digital Exploration Reports system).

Interactive resource and tenure maps (IRTM)
Zoom, pan, search and display geological data with mining and exploration tenure information for the whole of Queensland.

Interactive resource data
Two interactive maps that dynamically display the location, concentration of coal, minerals and petroleum and gas resources throughout Queensland.

Geoscience notes

Geological maps and notes
1:100 000, 1:250 000, 1:500 000, 1:1 000 000 and 1:2 500 000 scale geological maps

Map commentaries and explanatory notes
Geological maps are commonly accompanied by notes that provide information about the maps contents. Notes for the 1:100 000 scale geological map sheet series are entitled 'Queensland, 1:100 000 Geological Map Commentary' and are considered as books. Notes for the 1:250 000 scale geological map sheet series are entitled 'Queensland 1:250 000 Geological Series - Explanatory Notes' and are considered as a series. The availability of notes is incorporated into the maps lists.

Digital geoscience data
Geological site and mineral occurrence data, geological mapping data, airborne geophysical data, regional gravity data, geochemical data, petroleum geoscience and wireline log data, GIS digital data

Exploration Data Centre
The Exploration Data Centre (EDC) at Zillmere houses collections including drill core and cuttings from both Departmental and company exploration programs, and rock samples from regional mapping fieldwork.

Spectroscopic scanning
A cost-effective means of capturing detailed mineralogical data along with a high-resolution digital image of the drill core in their original trays, thus digitizing the whole core-logging process.

Regional core facilities
Regional facilities operate at Mount Isa and Mount Morgan.
