Spectroscopic scanning

HyLogger™ data

HyLogger™ is a non-destructive spectroscopic scanning technology developed by CSIRO that offers cost-effective means of capturing detailed mineralogical data along with a high-resolution digital image of the drill core in their original trays, thus digitising the whole core-logging process.

This reflectance spectroscopic data collected between visible - near infrared (VNIR) to shortwave infrared (SWIR) wavelengths (400 - 2500 nm) helps us to extract new geological knowledge on the alteration mineralisation common to many geological units and hydrothermal alteration assemblages.

HyLoggerTM data can be accessed through the online facility hosted by AuScope National Virtual Core Library and the request for specific data delivery (PDF) has to be addressed through the HyLoggerTM Geoscientist.

Please read the Terms and Conditions (PDF), and view the prices (PDF).
